Plant, Plant, Plant…then plant some more
This is the time of year when the work around The Farm boils down to one single word: PLANT! This is the wash, rinse and repeat cycle of spring that means there aren’t enough hours in the day, the rain needs to fall right when we plan for it to & the sun shines at exactly the right temperature. Of course, it never works out that way, but we do as much as we can & so far our efforts are being rewarded. We are right on schedule with where we should be right now (if not ahead). The 2011 season for The Farm is underway! It is hard to believe the opportunities that have presented themselves over the past few months and we are truly excited about what is ahead. We are excited to announce that the Cobblestone Project Farm is moving to Fayetteville. New Heights Church in Fayetteville has graciously donated the use of 10 acres of their land in West Fayetteville to be the new home of the farm. This move will greatly expand the scope of The Farm to include: expanded food production capacity, work share programs to create commerce & jobs, agricultural education ...
