Art in the Park…3 Bags in 2 Days
This past Saturday was the launch of 3 Bags in 2 Days new “Art in the Park” initiative! We had been saying for a few months that if 1 person paints, then we will count it as a success….well, after a week of hitting up multiple community meals, churches, and other events with hundreds of flyers and announcements, the moment of truth was about to happen. We had the main pavilion of Walker Park in Fayetteville reserved from 2-6 pm with dinner being served around 4:30. Come 1:30 as we were loading up to head out, I got an incredibly excited feeling. After the initial shock of receiving a grant wore off, Brittany and I realized that we had to sit down, create a budget, and best of all…we had to dream big. We had the opportunity to do things that we have wanted to do for a while, but were financially unable to. This grant is enabling us to be more of what we have dreamed of being and do more of what we have been dreaming of doing. We will still be the same 3B2D as always, just kicking things up a notch. The free resources that were distributed included:: clothes, tents, blankets, hygiene packs, hair cuts, dental/medical exams…and so much more! It was simply incredible! This might have been one of my (Chloe) favorite...

We have heard some painful stories behind the faces that we have met. One would think that after close to two years of ministry, we would have our...

3 Bags in 2 Days is proud to announce a “back to school” opportunity that has come up for us! We will be partnering with First United Methodist Church and Samaritan’s Feet to help provide kids in the Bentonville School District with school supplies, shoes and hygiene items! They will be supplying 350 students with these items on August 6th! Our role in this is to provide the 350 hygiene packs for the students. We are going to create “goody bag” type packs! They will not be complete bags, just partial hygiene bags. Our goal is to finish them by August 1st! We will be...
