From Gabe Rodriguez...

The first Good Neighbor Food Drive was held Aug. 23rd by the residents of the Montreaux, Berry Farms and Bent Tree subdivisions and by all accounts it was a huge success!

I want to thank each household that participated in this event for being such a "Good Neighbor".  Our neighbors truly have generous hearts!

We collected over 1,600 pounds of food or approximately 2,600 food items.   Each subdivision had about a 40% participation rate.  The food we collect was enough to feed 260 families for 1-week.

All food donations were delivered Sunday morning to the Samaritan House in Rogers.  Ron Yowell, who works at Samaritan House, informed me that the food we donated was the largest single non-corporate donation he had received and was blown away by the generosity.

Thanks again to all the residents that participated!  I’d like to give special thanks to our volunteers:

Vicky and Summer Smiley
Rocky, Lisa and Jake Parsons
Topher, Brittney, Esther & Gracyn Moore

Thank you all for your generous hearts!
Gabe, Michelle & Benjamin Rodriguez
