Time Donations

24 Hours in a Day * 365 Days in a Year = 8,760 Hours/Year

8 Hours a Day Sleeping * 365 Days in a Year = 2,920 Hours/Year

5,840 Waking Hours Per Year

If you volunteered just 0.8% of those hours each year, would spend 48 hours a year helping those around you. That’s approximately 4 hours a month.

We would ask that you consider donating 4 hours of your most precious commodity to one of The Cobblestone Poject
Initaitives (As a matter of fact, one of our Initiatives is built around making this easy (0.8% or point8).

Please contact the Initiative leader to take that next step.

Online Donations via our "Store"

  • You can "virtually" purchase the products that are used to support each Initaitive.
  • Each "virtual" product purchased actually becomes a real product, so you know that your donation is used in the manner you determine.
  • PayPal charges a 2.8% + $0.30 fee to use this service. These fees will be subtracted from the total amount of your donation. Please consider this fee when selecting this option as it may be no more than the cost of a stamp or may be substantial based on your purchase amount.

Donation Policy

The intention and motivation for the development of The Cobblestone Project was in no way related to a desire to run a business, solicit donations, build buildings, hire a staff, supplement incomes, buy stationery, or do anything other than help connect needs with resources.  We believe that the greatest thing of value that you can give to the Initiatives supported by The Cobblestone Project is your time.

Given the preference between your available resources of time or money, we would always ask for your time. We believe that the only way that we can truly solve issues of social justice in our communities is when people truly begin to experience life with their neighbors in need.

However, we know that other methods in connecting needs with resources may require financial donations. Therefore, the only reasons we accept donations are as follows:

  1. Provide a structure of collecting, organizing and exchanging resources between those in need and those who wish to help.
  2. Provide a legitimate and accountable service for people to receive donated resources via a third party transaction where confidentiality and privacy must be maintained.
  3. Provide a legitimate and accountable service for those who would like to realize the tax benefits of their donations as outlined by the IRS. All donations to The Cobblestone Project are 100% tax deductable.

All donations can be directed to the Initiative of choice, left to the discretion of The Cobblestone Project team to direct based on the greatest need, or specified for general administrative costs (such as maintaining this website).

For more information, please send an email to donations@cobblestoneproject.org

The Cobblestone Project is a 501(c)(3) Community Focused Organization.  We used to be known as a "not for profit" (that's what the IRS still calls us), but we have changed that.  We do want to make a profit, but we are dedicated to giving all of those profits away to those in need in our community.  The IRS ruless allow all contributions to be tax-deductible for your benefit.
